The Russian music channel Muz-TV was relaunched in September as "Yu", a general youth channel: It was reported here back in August, but at the time there was little more than a low-resolution version of the logo available. Since then, it has been revealed that the on-air graphics were created by BDA Creative in London. Brand consultancy Komandor Brains & Brands handled strategy.
"Working closely with UTV’s internal team, we developed a complete on-air package that celebrated the brand statement ‘U is you’.
All of the promotion and continuity elements flow seamlessly into each other as the logo navigates the viewer through the channel via a system of aligning animations.
We also shot a series of bumpers over the summer to kick off the package, and these will be updated regularly throughout the year.
The bright new look gives the channel a fresh contemporary feel, perfect for the product and unique in the Russian marketplace." - BDA Creative
